poets of berlin vilhelm parfumerie

And its not musky at all. This is the kind of gourmand I can get into. Its spring, its summer, its autumn its winter. As with other reviews, I was excited to smell blueberry and lemon, but ended up unsatisfied. It repulsed me when I first smelled it, but I did not give up, so I sprayed it on my skin. Its a 7/10 for me.

Aroma by Costa Brazil: Candidate For Best Fragrance 2022? It's nice. I ordered a sample out of curiosity and because I was trying to fill my basket to justify the cost of shipping. I let this sample linger untouched for a while, thinking I had little interest in what sounded like a breakfast parfait of notes. So disappointed as I love iris and was excited about the blueberry note. My favorite from this house. I'm disappointed. Perfume lovers: 792,154 Very Bowie in that way. Both are nice, dont get me wrong, but about a 7/10 for me. The opening of this is a lot greener than I expected it to be and it kind of put me off. But I dont smell blueberry per se.

I can see my self wearing it all year long. Reminiscent of an artifical blueberry scented toy I'd play with as a kid or one of the blueberry scented Justice pajama shirts. Poets of Berlin was launched in 2018. (not listed in the scents, but it comes across that way on me). Soft woody vanilla with blueberries. No blueberries to speak of and as people have pointed out, vegetal vanilla. I find it doesn't last very long, which I disappointing based on the price. Sad price tag smells like tropical Starburst meets those cream saver candy's but blueberry. I was hoping it would be more dominated by the blueberry, which certainly makes its presence known, but shares the stage more than I expected. It did not induced any headaches nor sneezing on me, so thats a good sign.

If you like sweet scents, especially sweet vanilla scents you will probably like this one.

Science Says Maybe, From the Gardens of Versailles to the Gardens of Babylon; The Allure of Olfactory Exploration Beckons at Jardin de Parfums, Priceless Perfume Bottles: An Auction of Poetry in Glass, The Ghost Perfumer by Gabe Oppenheim: on Creed & The Industry, a Book Review. It is definitely a night time fragrance for me. I am beyond pleased!!!! The sweetness of the blueberry and vanilla is cut through by occasional spikes of lemon and bamboo which come off as what I can only describe as a clean gourmand (if thats even a thing). Like walking through the forest in late summer, which is covered in ripeblueberry bushes, just after the rain. Marc Jacobs Daisy Ever So Fresh Eau de Parfum, New Magnolias This Summer (2022): L'Eau D'Issey Eau & Magnolia, Miu Miu Twist Eau de Magnolia, and Beautiful Magnolia Intense Estee Lauder. u can easily blind buy this one without being disappointed! That effect softens after a few minutes but it is enought to put me off. I don't hate it, but do I really like it? The orris here isn't so much the powdery sort, due to the bamboo + vetiver notes firmly flattening the typically powdery orris to a rooty, bittery likeness closer to that of freshly splintered carrots. it's a lot less woody and a lot sweeter than i expected (on me, at least).

If your not sold buy a tester, but this has been the best blind buy Ive ever got. There's also a faint smoke in the background that gives it a mysterious vibe. I don't know what freshly cut bamboo smells like, that's an experience I haven't had. I've had this for a year now and the vanilla has deepened. It dries down sweet and green.

When I saw blueberry and lemon listed as notes, as a foodie, I got really excited---only to be supremely disappointed. I'm disappointed. I found my first spray was heavy, but I find it dries down quite nicely. The lasting vanilla reminds me of Vanilla Woods, which I can't stand, but somehow it works so well with this fragrance - probably because it isn't cloying and overwhelming like VW. To me it dries down to a vanilla essence like scent but not so edible rather a very refined vanilla which is accentuated by the sandalwood. If only it didn't have the bamboo. Sugary cotton candy is tempered with a shadowy vetiver. I ordered a sample from Twisted Lily & I'm in love. Got a husband compliment, which is always a great bonus! I strongly recommend testing before buying. This fragrance smells like that friend of yours who is very mature yet youthful and always comforting.

what a dreamy fragrance! The opening is unpleasant: its bitter kinda cigarette smell, then it developed into a citrusy lemon scent and vanilla, with a hint of green notes. Smells like blueberry rum fizz to me, if you like gourmand with boozy notes definitely worth a try. I get a lot of blueberry, and I agreed the review below smell like blueberry cake in the opening and first 2 hours, after blueberry scent fade out. I've introduced a number of people to this scent, and their immediate reaction was like: "oh, this one's nice". The fruit is incidental. It is very sweet, fruity, and the vanilla is beautiful, but the tobacco reeks through it all and ruins this fragrance for me. Then the lemon dies down a bit and it becomes more sugary. I feel like its an important PSA to make sure you know that Floral Street Wild Vanilla Orchid is the same perfumer & virtually the same fragrance. Poets of Berlin isnt defined by any season and yet its suits each season by its complexity and depth. I didnt get any blueberry scent The dry down is vanilla with the lemon in the background. Error on my part - I didn't study the notes well enough before I got a sample of this. And to be honest, that's not always a bad thing. Its so good! It's a perfect blend of sweet, but not cloying, biscuit; light citrusy fruit; and a bit of heady floral. Very nice watery green scent i.e. Settles into a gorgeous vanilla within the first hour, after two it turns a lot more woody with a hint of tobacco or fig? I do however appreciate it's uniqueness, but it's definitely not for me.

The combined sweetness of blueberry and lemon, so pleasant at first smell, starts to feel cloying and makes a slightly juvenile impression after a while. This is a great layering combo with Ouvature TRUST ME! Magnetic & delicious with a dash of carefree romantic accord! There's a similar note in there that is magical. I don't typically go for green notes. Fragrance Reviews: 1,286,767

They sure are different perfumes but the vanilla-green-candy vibes are very similar in both.

Sweet blueberries, lemons and vanilla with some woods. Im sure Pandas would enjoy smelling me. I just got a sample of this perfume and tested it on my wrist. The initial burst of blueberry is intoxicating & brings to mind a funfair at night. Top notes: blueberry, lemon. As weird as it may sound.. the smell from the initial spray is like a stinkbug. I guess all I'm getting is the vetiver and it is giving me a white musk feel. Then dries down to a nauseating artificial blueberry scent. Definitely worth sampling!

As in blueberry pie with 10 blueberries and 5 spoons of vanilla sugar. I have never been able to stand peas. To me, it seems like something cheap and sweet a young teenager might douse themselves in, but for $250 for 100 ml, I don't understand why someone would pay so much for something so mediocre when you could get something similar for much, much cheaper in a TJ Maxx or Bath & Body Works. It's very much my daughter's style, so I'm thinking of giving my 5 ml sample to her, but maybe I'll get her her own, and have something a little different in my collection too. Better Oats Thick and Hearty Blueberry Muffin instant oatmeal with a bit of milky sandalwood. When I spray it on my skin, I immediately get the green notes. This is such an unusual fragrance. I hate it hate it hate it. It is not feminine enough for those who are fans of seductive, sexy, feminine perfume, and it is not interesting or deep enough for the fan of unisex niche perfume that I am. A blueberry subjected to a sketchy, underfunded experiment in a prototype telepod but there was also a particle of lemon-aloe-bamboo Glade air freshener in the chamber before it was hermetically sealed as well as a smashed bedazzle gem that fell off of an interns acrylic nail, unnoticed. But if you already have Decadence, it would be completely redundant to buy this one too. The brand's inspiration behind this fragrance makes perfect sense for what it smells like. The scent is woody, amber-y, and has a STRONG vanilla scent imo, but,,,, nothing else really.

The other notes do give balance, and keep it from being super desserty or feminine. I think the vetiver really balances it out. It smells like blueberry cheesecake in a bamboo forest, there is a lot of bamboo here, it is very juicy and green.

At times I get a strong blueberry and creamy vanilla and then I smell again and the green notes and tartness of lemon is more in the forefront. I'm usually not into fragrances that are this sweet but the bamboo adds something really unique to this and I just can't stop smelling it. I feel like it is a reminder of my teenage years with the edge of this phase of my 30's. It does well to capture a late night/early morning - after everyone has left, basement cafe feel. It is a unique one, the woodsiness is a green sugarcane, and the berries and lemon add a tartness to it that do make it feel a bit like a vanilla cake. On first sniff I get the blueberry but not just the fruit. "Blueberry" Haha yeah.

After some minutes, you get something of a green-gourmand. It's too strong and greeeeen. Opens with a barrow full of newly chopped and washed bamboo stalks, with luscious blueberry and lemon top notes mingling in the scene. The top notes of blueberry and vanilla are the biggest players and the scent, performance, silage, and longevity are slightly above average. Really nothing special. Certainly long-lasting, can smell the fragments of vanilla on my clothes two days after application. I recently bought 7 samples of different perfumes I was interested in, thinking this would be my favorite. Not at all what I imagine Bowie smelling like lol. Very Bowie-esque indeed. Not sure but i get a very gentle smoky experience with a soft fruit trailing in the middle. Ive probably worn this about 5 times and will probably continue to try it until my sample runs out but I have to admit that Im a bit disappointed. Perfumes: 73,887 Woody. I find Poets of Berlin to be a slightly more clean fragrance, with just a slightly weaker intensity and longevity, which makes it seem like the safer fragrance to wearbut I find myself missing that strange extra element from Decadencethe "cosmetic" smell. I cannot stop sniffing my wrist :) Try out a sample if you are on the fence! Poets of Berlin seems to have better quality ingredients and a slightly more clarified fragrance but for the cost Im not sure its worth it. When I got my hands on a 5 ml decant and tested it on my skin a bit longer, I found it somewhat tiring. I don't like it. A delicious trail of sweet vanilla swirls in the air and interweaves in-between the lattices of the aforementioned fruits and deeply green bamboo, in addition to a prominent starchy, orris blend. Natural smelling blueberry note that really impresses me. I decided to buy the smaller size (20mL) after trying a sample from Twisted Lily. But Poets of Berlin isn't just empty calories: its vetiver undercurrent makes it the perfect perfume metaphor for the serious talent underneath Bowie's glittery glam.". This smells SO stale on me. Though not listed, I also get a green note of gardenia flowers. I don't get either blueberry or lemon, and while there is perhaps a soft berry-ish note along with a bunch of florals and vanilla, it's much too sickeningly sweet for me. Great for spring/summer! Its nice, but Floral Street Wild Vanilla Orchid or Chanel no. Perhaps it's the vetiver base which makes the whole seem rather striking and unusual? Citrus notes that don't go too far into "cleaning products" territory. I'm still on the fence, because it's definitely green, but I love everything else about it, and it does have a freshness that's nice for summer. so yummy. I would skip this one if you're not a fan of more intense and gourmand scents. Just can't get over the overwhelming musk scent. It smells familiar and a little generic tbh, like something from the department store fragrance counter. Altogether a fresh scent that isn't overpoweringly sweet but has a touch of sweetness. I knew wearing it would be too on the nose but this, this is an absolute desecration of Bowie, of niche perfumery, of the senses at large. | Deutsch | Espaol | Franais | etina | Italiano | | Polski | Portugus | | | Nederlands | Srpski | Romn | | | | |, Copyrights 2006-2022 Fragrantica.com perfumes magazine - All Rights Reserved - do not copy anything without prior written permission.

I'm not sure I would love it this much if there was no vetiver note in here because this leans sweeter than I usually prefer. I'm still pretty new at this hobby but im very surprised to see the notes bc i dont quite understand how they all maanaged to fit there. I really like this.

I am not sure when, but maybe it has that nostalgic vibe.

Reminds me of a pretty lady in a bookstore - I dont get the lemon blueberry cake smell that everyone seems to describe, but its nonetheless an incredibly pleasant fragrance. The blueberry is SO realistic in this and so nice and juicy. This fragrance definitely has a strong tobacco note that isnt listed. After 8 hrs its just delicious, creamy vanilla. If you love your gourmands and want something super different and charming that not everyone has, poets of Berlin is for you. My entire household said I smelled like stale cigarettes and was leaving a trail of that smell through the house. It has a sweetness but the orris and bamboo come through very strongly, really grounding it.

I don't smell blueberries, but I do smell a fruity sweetness along with mild citrus. Ive only sampled Poets of Berlin, but to me its super reminiscent of La Vie Est Belle and Sofia by Sofia Vergara. It smells fruity and sweet in the opening, just like the blueberry. The nose behind this fragrance is Jrme Epinette. To me it smells like walking into a warm greenhouse. Adore it. I can maybe see why people would want to smell like this.but to me it is the most puke inducing scent ever and I want to scrub it off my arms. The wonder of this scent is how its light & airy yet sophisticated.

I'm German and have to Berlin countless times, and I don't see this city in this scent at all. Beautifully unique vanilla fragrance - the zing of the blueberry and lemon makes for a super unique and enticing fragrance. Its a mysterious fragrance. Gorgeous scent from Vilhelm Parfumerie. It's synergistic, though, not a fruit bowl. -.

Not a blind buy but easy enough to like. Poets of Berlin by Vilhelm Parfumerie is a Amber fragrance for women and men. The opening is greener, fresher, and vetiver and bamboo waft in and out of the dry down, and thats is pretty cool. I was very excited for the blueberry lemon notes but on my skin honestly it was just a woody, almost smoky vanilla. It does have more complexity. My Ralph EDT last way longer than this! I'm usually very unconvinced by 'dupes' but sprayed side by side I could barely smell them apart. This is an ultra sweet vanilla and blueberry cake, candy-like pretty much. Poets of Berlin fixes the problem, but then you wonder, "was it really a problem?" So, I bought a sample of this to see if it would be better than Marc Jacobs Decadence. I was really excited to try this one out after seeing the notes. This is a very interesting scent. Very flirty, pleasant, sweet, happy and pretty scent. This smells like a thousand other fragrances to me. I would say it leans slightly feminine for me but Id easily wear this. Not sweet not fresh something in the middle.

When I first sprayed it on, I was surprised by the herbal-y scent. I have a lucky scent decant. The Bamboo, orris and veltiver gives it a slight green, herbal smell in the opening and about 20-30 minutes in you can still smell it.

All I get is the scent of generic perfume strips from the inside of InStyle circa 2005. It starts off so spunky and watery and then turns into a cozy bedtime story. 19 would be my picks for this scent profile. I am obssesed I need it! I am still trying to figure this one out. A serendipitous purchase. Poets of Berlin just performs slightly better and is a little more complex. Im not a fragrance expert but somehow this reminds me of Limperatrice because of the sweet fruity green vibes in the opening. The one difference that I can detect is that Poets of Berlin has a sugared quality to it, as well as a fresh lightness that I am assuming is coming from the lemon and bamboo notes. I get blueberry, bamboo and vanilla. It's more sophisticated. That lemon & blueberry opening is super refreshing and to me, leans a little masculine but I love it. Fragrantica Inc, United States. I received a sample of this yesterday and was very excited to smell it. opening: very strong, blueberry, ever so slightly medicinal, fresh tangy lemon, mixed feelings, kind of dishwashery. "Fruity Musk" would have been a more fitting name. this is such a beautiful scent. But I'm currently at the office wearing it since 5 hours ago and I can even smell myself, which is rare because I am usually anosmic to my own scent. I live in Berlin and am a poet and just tried this. I sadly get none of the top notes, and would have loved to. On initial spray, smells super green, which I'm not a fan of. I'm so disappointed. vilhelm parfumerie An adult carnival not a family funfair, it comes complete with burlesque side shows and skanky vintage sequins. Plasticky synthetic fruits and vanilla, then ashy spices. Blueberry, lemon, vanilla, and sandalwood are all very nice. Both fragrances probably smell virtually the same to others. It smells like you fell into a blueberry bush after rainstorm in the forest. I do not tolerate the scent of cigarettes or cigars so this is just unwearable for me and gave me an instant headache. Search on or Buy it online only 5 items on, Perfume rating4.03out of5 with863 votes. Unlike previous reviewers, I find this fragrance surprisingly long-lasting. Sweet and fresh.

I get a house with a cigarette smoker living in it who has air fresheners to try to hide the cigarette smell. Did not have a strong silage and didn't seem to last. To some people, this might make it a cosy, comforting experience. It seems like black currant or plum to me. I did however also spray it on a jumper and a few days later it still smelled and the scent definitely had a little more of a fruity note there. You could say that smell is a bit like pie crust - I do see where those comments come from. It's just ok. the blueberry turned a little sour on my skin which I honestly don't hate somehow.

Its nice, it smells earthy with vanilla but I dont get the lemon pound cake vibe that everyone was talking about. I love the warm vanilla scent that it melts into. I dont understand how people are getting desserts and blueberries but i dig it for what it is .

I sprayed it on at 8 in the morning and can still smell it at 10 at night. Wtf stop lying ). Love it. Gets so much better as it develops! I enjoy Ani more but this is gorgeous. I got a hint of fruityness but it was quickly replaced by the woody undertones in this fragrance. it also smells a lot like decadence by marc jacobs on my skin. Pretty unremarkable, you can probably get a similar scent for a much smaller price tag. Everything works together beautifully. The lemon is pretty mild, but it adds a brightness too the overall scent. I love it!!!! (Crica 1972) lemon blueberry scones had been served. The vanilla, blueberry and lemon are all absolutely gorgeous but the initial scent stops me from really loving it - I think it could be the bamboo? . If I change my mind Ill fess up. Not going to lie, I blind bought this after watching some of my favourite perfume tiktokers review this. Well, after what seems like an eternity, I finally decided to try sniffing Poets of Berlin. Reminds me of a Yankee Candle air freshener trying to mask a smell with no source in a used car. This one was a breath of fresh (creamy) air. The blueberry is juicy and amazing on the opening, and the dry down is a delicious and amazingly warm and comforting! Its fruity, green and sweet but not too sweet. I think the middle notes come through a lot more on me at the beginning. It feels like a lifetime lived in a bottle. Both of these perfumes smell like smoke (Decadence even more-so than Poets of Berlin) and therefore make me feel aggressive when I wear them. A drop of fruitiness lingers too. I like both of them with Poets of Berlin being slightly better but unlikely to buy Poets given the cost and overall casual/amateur vibe for such a pricey niche brand. Its sweet, fruity, tangy/sour/green but the vanilla in this really gives the fragrance a bit more character, but not far from smelling like a designer. the opening is slightly sweet and aromatic, u can feel the blueberries first and then a hint of lemons comes fast, it slowly becomes more earthy-like while stars to dry, but once it dries down well is just heaven!!! Like an abstract perfume version of a lovely blueberry dessert. But not in a good wayit kind of smells like a flavored cigar. It is the perfect heavy/light summer fragrance that I have been searching for. This smells almost identical to Acqua di Parma Colonia Note III but not as strong. This smells like a lemon & blueberry vanilla cake to me and I absolutely love it. the vanilla makes it a little powdery but for once i don't mind that i think it actually works quite nicely. I absolutely LOVE a good woody vanilla so no surprise there that I love this too. so sweet and green and tart but also it smells like a pastry. I thought I loved it in autumn but it also works very well in spring.

I will have to keep sniffing to find out.

Received tons of compliments (once a friend of mine wanted me to spray it around his room, I of course refused the suggestion since it was only a small decant) and many looks, both alarming, both charming mind you it's an intoxicating scent so I believe the confidence it radiates may create malaise amongst a company that has tendencies of envy. On my skin, I get a lot of vanilla and blueberry but I don't smell at all like a blueberry muffin. I ordered a few samples from various niche fragrance lines. Very very herbal bamboo on my skin. A dark combination of carousel's and ghost trains, the warmth of a late summer eve and the sticky candied alcoholic flavour of the the cotton candy is not what I imagined for Poet's of Berlin but I am enthralled by the narcotic quality of this unexpected brew. Although it was my first time smelling it, I feel like I have smelled it before. I love it. Surprisingly enough, it goes away and leaves behind a pretty, woodsy and slightly sweet, fruity smell. Definitely not a safe blind buy since I can see where this is polarizing and changing with everyones body chemistry. Not too sweet but definitely gourmand category. I quite like it! By all accounts, accords and notes, I should LOVE this but it just doesnt do it for me. Or both? After the first 20-30 mins I like it a LOT better which is where it becomes that gourmand, sweet blueberry/lemon cake that others have mentioned.

The blueberry caught me by surprise -- it comes across as juicy and perfectly sweet while not being overly so. Poets of Berlin from Vilhelm Parfumerie is a vile bioluminescent mutant blueberry thing. I got 0 compliments, and my partner actually told me he hated it so much he could hardly stand it on me. It's sweet, but smells very cheap, it reminds me of kids perfume. I received a free sample and once I smelled it, I was hooked. I feel like nowadays, fragrance houses are producing copies of copies. Im SOOO in love with this! The green here is still primary, and gourmand secondary. Way too green for my taste.

Not bad if you like that but not exactly what I was going for. I might have found my signature scent! It has a bit of smoke hidden inside. I should've known when people said this smelled like blueberry lemon pound cake, that wouldn't be accurate because "sweet" isn't even listed as an accord. this is cute; i was put off initially by the opening because it kind of caught me off guard. It is still bright and happy, and makes a good day-time fragrance, but it is just not for me. As a new fragrance lover, Poets of Berlin reminds me why expensive perfumes are so, so worth it - it's so nuanced and layered. To me the opening smell of blueberry and lemon gives it a fizzy like characteristic, very different but super intriguing. ??? I've seen a few people describe this as linear, which I don't agree with at all - it changed from an almost masculine scent when spraying, to a beautiful lemon-blueberry-vanilla after around 20 minutes, to a creamy and nuanced vanilla after a few hours. It defiantly has a decadence vibe but even more I think it is similar to Xerjoff Ouvature but more smooth and sweet! Has the VP base that is present in just about all of their fragrances. Wow I was not expecting this. I don't smell the lemon at all. There's a modern, synthetic sandalwood under everything that I do find pleasing; and the sweetness, whilst intense, has a very cool aspect to it which stops it from being cloying. Received a bunch of Vilhelm samples in my last order and I don't understand the hype around this brand. Weirdly, this reminds me of Perry Ellis 360, which I loved in the 1990s. If you want to smell like a very expensive blueberry muffin with a lemon drizzle, this is for you. Oh this is beautiful.

It reminds me of sitting in an old 70's sedan that had owners that partied a lot, and chain-smoked in it with the windows up. It has nice fruity notes and it's not too sweet. Torn apart atom by atom, the small jammy fruit merged with the glinting shards of sugary bling and a blisteringly caustic glow-in-the-dark citrus-lily. but maybe it's just not that strong in general), but it's nice and gentle and i think it would suit anyone! The dry down is a really classy vanilla, it smells high end and not cheap or synthetic. Vilhelm Parfumerie's Poets of Berlin is supposed to smell like blueberries and lemon, but I get blueberries MAYBE for like 3 seconds on the opening, and then it smells kind of like the interior of a cardboard box, plus some indistinguishable fruit on my skin. I think I will get me a bottle. It's very woody and smoky. Orris is a clever choice of midnote for grounding those sweet top notes. But unfortunately this just doesn't do it for me.

I wanted to love this so badly! This particular fragrance is seemingly all anyone is talking about and I was extremely excited and fully prepared to join the chorus but it's downright unpleasant on me.

As it dries the blueberry stays and becomes smooth and vanilla with a warm wood. After a bit of wear I didnt smell anything else either. this is beautiful. Or is it La Vie Est Belle? There's a weird part of me that likes it, but I know it just stinks on me. Poets of Berlin leaves me puzzled in that regard.

Overall, it's a gorgeous scent. A smushed, smelly stinkbug. The sweetness of the blueberry and the vanilla really makes it edible! I swear this smells like some overly sweet celebrity perfume I had as young teen. Gorgeous blueberry vanilla scent. This is a pretty sweet yet fresh scent. I still like it though, Id probably buy a full bottle but not something Im in a hurry to get. And let me say, Im glad I did! I love this for summer nights, but it is so good that I will probably wear this throughout the whole year. Upon first spray just a blast of blueberry sweetness with a citrus in the background. Either way, its definitely an enjoyable scent, and I like it quite a bit.

If you like this scent but don't want to splash out then Floral Street Wild Vanilla Orchid is a very similar scent, also made by Jerome Epinette. I've been wearing it this summer, but I know its warm nature will be wonderful to wear throughout the fall and winter as well. I was ready to be blown away because this fragrance is raved about everywhere, but it smells so synthetic and strange.

I don't know what the hell the notes are, or if it even matters but this has a feeling. Its delicious. The reviews are amazing and the notes are so unique, plus I am always trying to get away from more mainstream perfumes and try independent brands. I have to admit, the extra element(s) of Decadence make it seem more complex and interesting, but also a bit more dangerous. Does not last skin or clothing.

Marissa Zappas Announces A New Collection + A Giveaway! You really can't go wrong with this scent profile, if you are a gourmand / vanilla lover. I enjoy it, but not sure if it's something I want a FB of. I can see how others might like it and maybe it smells better on other people, but not me! I am about to finish my first 50 ml. "Named for David Bowie's Berlin Trilogy, Poets of Berlin is a subtly sugary confection of blueberry and lemon. Base: vanilla bean, sandalwood, vetiver. This opened smelling like salad dressing but the dry down is a really beautiful deep blueberry vanilla. After the first test in a shop I was intrigued and I really wanted to get a full bottle. To my nose it is totally original and like nothing else I have ever come across. I think I'll have to compare it side by side to Decadence a bit more to really figure out which one I prefer. I think this is my favorite fragrance of all time right now! It's rich but not overly sweet or cloying because the woods and the fruit give it some zing. It wasn't bad, but not for me. Vanilla is still in the background, doing its magic of sugaring the intensity of the green characteristic down to a softer, pastel minimal. i get a lot of vanilla and a lot of lemon, but not exactly a sour lemon, more of like a lemon rind, if that makes sense?
