Why they changed it, I don't know. The headphones are extremely comfortable to wear and are pretty flexible to fit around my neck. The problem, of course, is that the only speakers available to produce the tones are the tiny earpiecesthey play a loud tone to be sureif you were wearing them at the timebut when they're off your head, you really need to be in a quiet environment to hear the beeping at all (at least that was my experience). For example, you can set one tap to start and stop the audible stopwatch, the second to launch a custom playlist or tell you the time. These are great for wearing around the house or being outside ..when not able to turn on the sound system. The app said the download would take about 50 minutes. Ive been using these headphones for the last couple of days and I haven't really been that impressed with them. They say it should last 7 hours with continuous use but they don't. The sound is awesome compared to the Motorola s11-hd earphones I had prior to this and they dont bounce around in ear or make excess noise.

I used them once in the gym and could still hear the background music and some grunts and shouts, so keep that in mind if you're planning on wearing them indoors a lot.

Sound quality may be a little bit better when properly seated in the ear but the internal ear cone does not sit/stay in place as well. I wish more Bluetooth devices would offer this kind of functionality as it actually came in quite handy on more than one occasion. - The timer/stopwatch in the app is not the same as the one on the phone itself--it created some usability confusion as I wasn't sure what control to use to reset the stopwatch (for the record, I couldn't find a control to do so in the app itself which required a restart to actually zero out the timer I was using for my workout) 100% of the time, and it achieves it by physical design, not via technology (i.e. The buds carry five hours of battery life, with the case giving you an additional ten hours. You'll have to use a regular charger or power bank to top it up, which is the only inconvenience here. I had a full charge and used them for about 1.5 hours and turned them off (heard "Power Off"). The cable is made of a woven fabric that bends easily, glides over sweat without getting sticky, and there's a clip to attach it to your t-shirt or cinch it so it doesn't dangle too much. But the compromise is that the sound you get is justokayand will probably never be much better than that. - Tap controls were not always smooththe lightest touch was enough to register a tap on the left control surfacesometimes; and then other times, it wouldn't register even a prolonged press without resorting to greater pressure on the tap surface which then pushed the left earpiece uncomfortably into my ear It is a great wireless for the price plus you can purchase a warranty on them. Moreover, the function only works if you're still actively connected to your headset. I have earbuds from Bose, Jlab, Sony, JBL, Apple and Jaybird to name a few and these rank at the bottom of that list. The BackBeat Android app has several options that the apps of other Bluetooth headphones does not, such as the ability to program the actions that the left button perform, which is a really nice feature. I normally use these Plantronics Bluetooth headphones for audio while connected to my Alienware desktop computer, and then when I want to make a phone call, I simply turn on the Bluetooth on my Pixel Smartphone, and then I am able to make a phone call.

Battery life is about 7hrs for the Fit 2100 and there's no charging case to fill it up on the go. I didn't have that issue with the left bud, so there must be something strange going on with my body, hah. If for some reason you still experience the same issue with the battery, then it means the headset has an actual problem and it is best to replace it.

All and all Im very happy with them. It still is one of the best sports headsets you can buy today. Fortunately, these fit my ears fine, but not airtight but they are comfortable. However, it's an odd interface choice on the same device that also requires a more forcible button press on the other earpiecein the heat of a workout to either change volume or pause/FFW tracks, I invariably tried tapping the push-button too softly or pressing the touch-sensitive button too hard I am rating these Plantronics BackBeat Fit headphones at 4 out of 5 stars.

I Broke them out an started using myself lol. But it was the BackBeat Fit that stole my heart. I don't know if this is due to the difference in the shape, or angle of the ear piece (see photo).

I changed the settings on my phone so that the screen wouldn't time out at all. I'm willing to put up with it though not many Bluetooth headsets have switched to USB-C, and definitely none from a well-known brand at this price range.

I will admit that most of them have a higher price point than the BackBeats, but $100 isn't cheap for Bluetooth headphones. I needed something that both had a small ear piece that went into the ear and the hook to go over your ear, and these fit the bill. The flexible wire connecting the two transducers is barely perceivable. These earphones fit comfortably around the back of my head. I downloaded the app and it prompted me to update the software. My phone screen is set to time out after two minutes which helps on my battery life, so about a half hour later, I checked on the download and it failed. This version just keeps you guessing. I will be sharing my thoughts about them in the next few days. There's also the personalized 1-tap and 2-tap feature that I described with the new BackBeat app, though this time, it's the left earbud that has it and the right one doesn't. This is an area where the Liberty+ surpass them as sports earbuds with 48hrs of endurance, I throw mine in my gym bag and only worry about charging the case once every four or five weeks. All three also still use Micro-USB for charging. Other than that, the headphones are great for exercising. Other than that they connected fine to my television and do the trick for my late night movie watching. They work good but I liked the older model better. A few minor niggles here and there don't detract from the experience, and the only major drawback I can personally point to is that these still use Micro-USB for charging. I said kool as one then two months go by now it's 4months. They looked like top tier headphones. Good headphones for simple workouts but NOT recommended for noisy environments such as a public gym. There are silicone ear-tips which can be rotated slightly to further personalize just how directly they squirt sound towards your ear canal; but without a good seal, it almost doesnt matter how good the sound is natively because you're never going to hear it all anyway. This headset, which is an iteration of Plantronics's existing BackBeat 300, carries a similar form factor to what you've seen from buds like Jaybird with the flexible cable behind the neck.

The sound when pushing the earphones into my ears was very good with strong bass and clear vocals. Once upon a time, she was a pharmacist as well. These are Backbeat Fit headphones, but the Backbeat Fit app didnt recognize the headset despite having an image of a headset that looks suspiciously like the Fit 2100 (including the PLT logo) on the screen and in the App icon. Though the earphones sound good when in your ears while holding them in place, once you release them they sound is weak with very little bass. This is a slightly more difficult process on most other Bluetooth headphones that I own, most of which have a longer amount of time needed to press and hold, before the headphone turn on. Overall, if I were shopping for a set of earbuds/headphones at this price point, I would look elsewhere. If you can get a good fit then they may be for you. The sound is good. I had to charge the Fit 3100 after about twelve days. Also when you turn the headphones on you don't get how many hours of charge you have left. They get loud, but not loud enough to cancel out any car sounds or leave you unaware of your surroundings. I also felt like the volume was kind of low, even at max level. The Fit 350 uses Bluetooth 4.1 and is sweatproof plus IP-X5 waterproof rated. Instead, you have to choose and disable volume control if you want any of these quick actions. The only drawback is that if you enable the taps customization, you lose your remote volume control entirely. The volume drops because there is no seal between the earphones and the ear itself. The Fit 3100 is the most interesting of the three new models. When they are on sale, you cannot beat the quality for the price. The 'My Taps' personalization is a wonderful inclusion--it allows you to customize certain actions/activities to one or two light taps on the touch-sensitive left earpiece. The earlier version would tell you how many hours of charge you had left.
