size which fits nicely in my purse. Sorry to say but imo this is one of the worst facial sunscreens I have ever tried. 
It is great for all faces and applies well. The reason why I bought it was because it was highly rated in a national magazine and was said to be invisible and not leave that white residue that most sunscreens leave behind. Inactive: Water, Glycerin, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Dimethicone, Isododecane, Styrene/Acrylates Copolymer, Glyceryl Stearate, Butyloctyl Salicylate, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Propanediol, Stearic Acid, Aluminum Hydroxide, PEG-100 Stearate, Sorbitan Stearate, Niacinamide, PEG-8 Laurate, Ceramide NP, Ceramide AP, Ceramide EOP, Sorbitan Isostearate, Carbomer, Cetearyl Alcohol, Ceteareth-20, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Dimethiconol, Sodium Citrate, Sodium Lauroyl Lactylate, Sodiumdodecylbenzenesulfonate, Myristic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate, Cholesterol, Palmitic Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Chlorphenesin, Tocopherol, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Caprylyl Glycol, Citric Acid, Panthenol, Xanthan Gum, Phytosphingosine, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Polysorbate 60, Ethylhexylglycerin. On me, it actually does leave that white residue. I love every other Cereve product I've used, so I'm really disappointed with this one. I purchased the 2 oz. This even got all over my Fitbit band and was difficult to get off.
All sunscreens should be applied liberally for sun protection. Application: Mineral sunscreens form a barrier on the surface of the skin to reflect the sun's rays, and a white cast can sometimes remain after applying the product. But I hate it for daily wear. Other than that, it's a great product. I found that this is not necessarily true for people like myself who do not have fair skin. Reapply at least every 2 hours, use a water resistant sunscreen if swimming or sweating. It left a horrible white cast and made me look sick. I solely use cerave for my skin care so didn't think twice to buy this sunscreen. Apply CeraVe Sunscreen Lotion liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure, 2. Just like everyone else, I tried rubbing it on my face and the consistency was very dry and chalky looking! I like this product because it is lightweight, water resistant, and applies smoothly.
On a positive note, for the 15 minutes that I had it on my face, it did not sting or burn my eyes. It is important to note that with any spf, though, you are supposed to pat it into your skin anyway in order for the SPF to absorb properly. A little bit of this spf can go a long way! For that reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 rating. Couldn't figure that out but the grains wouldn't go away, even after I shook the tube for about 30 seconds. Horrible white cast. Apply to one area of the body at a time, rubbing well. It may leave a white cast, yes, so start out very small and work your way up. Apply a small amount in the palm of your hands and rub them together. It's supposed to be "invisible" but it is so thick and white that I looked like I dusted my face with flour.
I use the tinted sunscreen and enjoy that more. It worked! How to Use: 1. It lasts well through sweat and swimming, i'm not super dark and this leaves a major white cast!!
