Late last winter I had the rollers re coated for my planer, I took them to a place in Calgary to have them done, they said they have done a lot of these rollers over the years, one of the original rollers was recoated the other was damaged as a result of the bearing wearing. I left the the shipping skids on it and added 4 casters, made it easier to move around. Im not sure how to proceed, I can replace the roller with a factory Makita roller that has the poor coating , Ive also found replacements online that have the polyurethane coating but now Im unsure if they are the Makita quality steel.
