We pre paid for all of the rooms for our guests to reserve and then pay the property direcly at check in and we would be reimbursed. Because they give out the venue to couples for an entire day, you cant book your rehearsal date until less than a month from your wedding. She did, but she only replaced maybe 2/3 of the length of string lights we purchased. They made our special day exactly what we wanted it to be, Thank you Lorraine! We attended We recently had our wedding at Stone Mountain Lodge and we couldn't have asked for a better day! She reassured Tia! I called and emailed them with venue questions for my vendors, without them getting back to me as well. When you want to get all your ducks in a row, thats a little unsettling to have to wait so close to the date but you dont have to worry about someone else running a rehearsal the morning or afternoon of your own booking. Amazing venue, with great staff, and some beautiful views! They allow a big range of vendors (they do have a list otherwise there is a small fee to bring someone new in). Nestled cozily in the mountainside, this venue offers the perfect touch of nature and was just what we dreamed of for our special day. ~Ashley. staff members took over and everything still went very smoothly. During our planning process they were always there to answer any questions and helped us out the whole way! Your tables and decor out on the lawn was some of our favorite of the season! The first was for a room paid for in full by our friend. In a few words, completely lacking of any sort of compassion, reason, and hospitality. Then finally me walking on the big day! My dress zipper broke and Ashely was there helping smooth over the delay!! Because they dont have a lot of people staying there outside of weddings, their office hours for phone calling is a bit more limited. Thank you Jen! I would definitely recommend this place to others! It was truly a pleasure to be there and a very memorable wedding for us. We did offer and let you have a free rehearsal the night before and there were staff members on site, as always, to close down the event at midnight according to contract that was signed and put in multiple places in the contract. 
We got to go up to the top of the mountain in a super fun Hi Mel! It has now been 2 weeks since our wedding and both my mom and I have been trying to call them to discuss this situation and they will not answer or return our messages. Stone Mountain was exactly what we were looking for in regards to an easily accessible location that still felt like youre in the mountains. She is super responsive to emails, listens closely to what you want and makes things happen. Separate garden area for cocktail hour and the bar! Our wedding at Stone Mountain Lodge was truly perfect. All the best to you two! Now we're just dreading it. We highly recommend Stone Mountain Lodge to anyone who is looking for a wedding venue in the foothills. The best part the We are sorry that we did not meet your expectations. In fact, she gave away the date I requested for a walk through and so now I have to take off more time for work to do this on another day. And our guests totally loved the cocktail area. a few of their bridal events where we were able to meet and hire both our caterer and florist. Answered ever question we had in a timely manner! They have the prettiest and intimate setting for your ceremony, down to the cocktail hour in the lawn, and reception tent with cafe lights. We used very little decorations at our reception because the inside of the tent is already so beautiful with the drapery and the lighting and the outdoor garden area and ceremony area are beautifully decorated by the venue and by nature. Ashley was Accommodating at every step, and provided us with key venue insights to make sure our plans wedding took full advantage of the location. refused to issue a refund to us, so my friend had to dispute the charge with her credit card company and pay us the difference. ay and not have to be rushed to get in and get out. Stone Mtn. help from getting all my paperwork done to my walk through to rehearsal! No apology, no offer for a refund, nothing. Thanks again for making our wedding day the best it could be! Take. I got the beautiful mountain wedding I always wanted and got to have most by guests stay the night with us in their cabins and hotel! Hope to see you and HK on another anniversary down the line! I asked if I should bring a rake or lawn vacuum and they said it wasn't necessary. No matter how many times I explained it was not my fault that they set me up with the wrong package, they just continued to fight me. We just happened to pass by Stone Mountain Lodge and noticed how beautiful the property was. When we came back a few days later (from Denver), the lights were still not down. There were items missing, broken and left outside. You really dont need to decorate much since the property is so gorgeous. Carrie okayed this, but we kept running into licensing and insurance issues with the event coordinator. This venue features stunning views and convenient onsite accommodations for guests. Victoria, it is so nice to hear that you were happy with your venue choice! he was gone and no one ever called to let me know the switch in management. I'm patient and down to earth, but I need things to be just right on event days and at the venue in general.
I expected better. P.S. All of the rooms were clean and I think my out of state family enjoyed a little taste of the mountains. All the while they are kicking us out of the room we were under the impression we had for the full day while we are trying to get ready. Thank you Courtney! This place is truly amazing! staff did contact you and your mother back in regards to the damages that the property received as well as left messages and emails; however, would no longer be verbally abused. She was flexible and very communicative throughout the process. On the day of my wedding the girl who was supposed to be available for questions and to help us get everything set up had a family emergency and left the property. LOVED IT!!!!!! No accommodations for the amount of guests we specifically told them. If you are looking for a venue that is not only a great deal (this one includes SO much for a great price!) We feel so fortunate to be working with Stone Mountain Lodge and cannot wait to have our favorite 100 people enjoy our special day there next summer. That's my favorite part of the gig! I would also recomend getting ready in a cabin and bring extension cords. The venue is beautiful and has a perfect Colorado chic vibe that we were looking for. The property was beautiful and was perfect for a summer outdoor wedding. 
It was a lovely wedding and an honor to help with. What a picture perfect day we had at Stone Mountain. ue was perfect for us! ower outage (not their fault), and they went above and beyond to help keep the party moving until the city could get the power back on. Take your money elsewhere and hopefully you'll have less stress planning your wedding than I am. We paid the remaining balance on our contract today sans cabins for the bridal party. We didnt have to set them up or take them down and they looked great! The staff was very helpful, always answering my questions and willing to work with us on details. Our event coordinator there went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure everything fell into place and was perfect for us. The venue really fit our needs/personalities as a couple. It is a stressful time but having a supportive and friendly venue has made a huge difference. I had my wedding in June and chose Stone Mountain Lodge for a few reasons, it is beautiful there, location (wanted a mountain wedding), and value. help us with future clients. We easily fit 100 people in and my friend was able to do 140 at hers here. cabins

I had a great time at stone mountain the best part was that the staff knew exactly what to do and made my day at ease, down side it rained on my wedding but they still came up with another plan and kept watch for my day!
Our wedding is scheduled for August, 2016 and we were really excited to have our wedding there. If you are getting married there, there is a hiking trail behind the facility that goes to the top of a hill and is a great spot for photos. Service, such as answering questions and communication was really good until two months before th our wedding was great here, and we heard so many people say how much they loved it at SML! You wont be disappointed! The venue was beautiful and they did everything they could to make our dream wedding come true. The wedding planner on site had been nothing but rude to me leading up to the wedding and same goes for the day of the rehearsal. Wow. The "event staff" were unprofessional. We were concerned about road noise but from the tent/reception area with the band playing we couldn't hear a thing. Everything was peaceful and perfect for a more relaxed and informal wedding. The preferred vendors we went with were incredible - particularly Kathryn Kim Photography and The Butcher and The Blonde food truck. This place was perfect and exactly what we were looking for! It was a perfect day. While the venue itself is very nice, the staff is far f Hi Saydee, while we always strive to be transparent and clear in our communication, it is apparent that we fell short. Over all 4 stars bc the rain and the shape of the room we stayed in ! Ashley, our coordinator, recommended the perfect catering company (Smoke Shack BBQ) that also supplied great staff members.

I didnt notice their mistake until about 8 months from my wedding but thought, Oh eight months out should be more than enough time to remedy the situation since this was their fault to begin with. Boy was I wrong. The rooms are being updated and all of our guests were happy with their rooms. They didnt seem to be on the same page with this policy. The cabins are definitly rustic, but I enjoy that type of feel. For some of the children, those might have been decent alternatives, but we also had a few toddlers who would NOT have been able to utilize those. It is a beautiful location, there is lodging on sight, and it seems perfect for the outdoor wedding I was looking for. They seem to be blissfully unaware that they breached a contract and that we have legal recourse if we choose. Oh, and to top it off you pay for 5 star rooms and you get 1 star rooms. The venue itself was beautiful and set up just as we had planned. lyons joeandrobin ch more special. They were not cooperative and tried to CHARGE us to use the grassy park area for our rehearsal. Me. Ashley made the walk through, the rehearsal and the wedding day feel like a breeze. I wasnt in the lodge rooms myself but some of my friends were and when I poked my head it, it seems cozy. She has a very laid back but fun personality and just being around her made me feel at ease. We had to keep revieing this with them about 5 different times as they kept telling our guests all the rooms were already taken care of. four wheeler and take photos up there. The venue is beautiful with nice/comfy lodging on site. Every staff member was accommodating and kind. My family was trying to book rooms there and would leave messages without them getting back to them. She set up all of the ceremony chairs by herself. Working with the Stone Mountain team was easy and they were all very helpful. To me the venue was perfect. You can have every part of the wedding here so it makes the day easy. She had a lot of useful information right up front which was really helpful to us as a newly engaged couple. 
They offered no assistance in finding new accommodations or consolation, not even an apology. whole day. Warning though- there is no cell phone service there but I LOVED that! I actually don't even know if the wedding is going to happen at this point because they haven't even received the final payment. but also great to work with, Stone Mountain Lodge is perfect. because the venue allows outside caterers. Extra "hidden" costs were tacked on at every opportunity. The next was a double charge for the room my husband and I stayed in. We should have asked more questions before we signed a contract. A little disappointed but thanks to the beautiful grounds and weather the wedding was perfect. It's located in the foothills with gorgous views at a low cost.
