Such a shame because if you keep walking farther down into Thera, youll find much better options. We tried the taramasalata, the spicy cheese dip, calamari, and the seafood linguine. And of course beautiful beach.. But overall a beautiful experience! We felt like regulars at a local taverna and we cant say enough nice things about this place. Beef ribs were tender. However, the owner was friendly. George is the charcoal king of Santorini! Its a romantic, sweet post sunset dining.., but the food was sensational snd the host and servers very friendly and attentive! The food is beautiful full of flavour, I had the lamb shank the meat was incredibly tender. , , 847 00, Greece. But it was more than worth paying for. So good!!!
Staff Are Amazing, Excellent Service And Manager Was Very Charming, Food Is ABSOLUTELY Beautiful Greek And Mediterranean Cuisine Definitely Will Come Again On Our Next Visit To Kamari. Very cheap as well. Arrival at 6:50 p.m. We were only offered a small table near a step against a wall because the other tables were all reserved (but free?! Commentary: We are biased, but we thought it was the best!! The Greek salad was very good yet so simple. Every dish was great, including the complimentary bread and feta cheese mousse, which was our favorite. Went back again a couple of nights later to watch the sunset:) what a great evening to spend there, getting that pougakia and chicken mastihato again we went for the ribs this time and let me tell you, its better than the pork belly! 
We visited this local tavern for late dinner 3 times in the course of our short stay. Two stars only because the views and service were good - otherwise this would be a 1 star review. It was the perfect place for us to celebrate our anniversary. Huge shout out to Babis!!!! But every dish at Alma was such a unique experience. The grilled fish was particularly wonderful. The cheese dip was surprising, because it was light weight, yet carried just the right amount of pizzazz to delight you. Great place to enjoy a meal while watching the beautiful sunset. It was clear from my jacket that I was rather cold, and they turned on the heater for me, and much earlier in the night than was usual. Not on the busy road so you have a short escape from the crowds. Bit of a climb but so worth it even for older bones. Chairs pulled out, doors opened, glasses filled, plates cleared. Elias gave us exceptional service and so kind!
They also have blankets in case it gets chilly in the evening. We were told it stored wine in 1800's. Having a fixed menu helps with quality control, but it also allows the chef to master the menu and it was masterful. Super Mario was very kind and attentive as well. The pesto calamari appetizer was also a hit with our group. Overpriced but for those looking different experience might fit the bill. Can get quite windy but you get a very good view of the sunset. Overall good food, but need to book at least one to two days in advance to be on top and see the sun set. The food was absolutely amazing; we ordered a variety of dishes and each was better than the last. It has been a surprising gem in our journey and are very happy we came! We got the ceviche, Greek salad, shrimp appetizer, and lobster risotto. Do not miss out on this spot! There were a few that came before the appetizers and a few that came when we were done. The monkfish was nicely cooked and the accompanying dolmada was maybe a step too far the familiar to bother calling it as such, but again tasted good. We ate dinner here a couple of nights ago, after being recommended by our hotel. 
When it came time to order we shared our initial request, but after asking what we were looking for, our two waiters helped give suggestions. It was a super pleasant and peaceful experience. As desert the tiramisu is a real recommendation. The food here was good, and the view as well. It is expensive so mentally prepare for that. It was very delicious - we tried the shrimps, fish, baked potatoes and mussels and everything was very tasty. We have had the same dish at other upscale restaurants where they incorporate the lobster with the pasta - this gives the lobster a wonderful taste which other wise lacks on its own. Mouthwatering food, caring service AND value for money. Service was good, besides some trouble with the bill. While its easy to think they were costlier suggestions, they werent, and in the end we were VERY happy with their advice. Not once did we have to try to flag someone down for service. On this list, Ipicked up some of the most romantic restaurants in Santorini with a view where you should definitely try a Santorini wine or a greek beer. Initially the price caught us off-guard, but the food, wine, and experience was phenomenal. We were on the top floor which is open air. The atmosphere is very pleasant with very good staff, the menu is varied and they truly serve fresh quality fish and seafood. The service was good as well, and the prices very reasonable. The restaurant offers a great selection of seafood casually with large portions (compared to other restaurants) and its not pretending to be something more than it really is: a casual greek taverna with great greek food. Thats a rare experience. Our service was really quick & waiter was friendly. If you are looking for authentic traditional Greek dishes at a great family restaurant, then you have come to the right place. - sea bass was tender and smoky in flavor. A small restaurant with sea view. The food was absolutely delicious! Make a reservation. My girlfriend had a caramelized Chicken and it was very delicious too. The service was fantastic. But bear in mind that especially in July, August, and September reservations must be made to all of these (well in advance). The view from the terrace was breathtaking and worth visiting. One of my favorite restaurants in Santorini. Somellier George was very knowledgable and explained everything about Santorini wines. And the meatballs were also fantastic. Definitely will re-visit! So, we were negatively surprised by the bill at the end, we paid 3,2kg of mix (not fresh and frozen foods in reality) seafoods. We were treated to a table overlooking the Caldera (the Aegean sea) and as you can see we had an amazing view. Sphinx is one of the best Oia restaurants with a view. Very expensive. Now the fish of the day could have had more spice but that's our southern seafood bias. If you want to eat great food with amazing views only there! Unfortunately, something I ate there gave me a bout of diarrhea the next day, which was a bummer (we suspect it was the tuna). Polite, friendly and attentive staff. And the bread wasnt even warm which I found to be interesting. Not only is the food absolutely delicious, its reasonably priced and the view is UNREAL. We ended up spending almost 5 hours at the restaurant and it certainly didnt feel this long, as the experience was so engaging. The sea bass ceviche was sublime. Waiters were not very friendly. Pirouni has great reviews and views, so we thought we couldnt lose. Despite it being a popular time to eat, our waitress was very friendly and attentive to our table. The only problem with Argo is that you need to book it many days in advance , especially during the summer months of June, July, August and September as it gets fully booked. The venue itself is remarkable and keeping memories for everyone. So dont go unless you can get one of those otherwise sunset and the views will be very obscured. The oxtail donuts were really good. ) At 10:00 p.m. when we left the most beautiful tables in the best locations are still free!? Randomly stumbled across it and did not expect them to have space for dinner. Sosome of these might possibly be theperfect proposal locations but in general, they are just amazing restaurants with stunning panoramic views of the volcano lagoon (aka caldera). A reasonable $$ and worth it! The food is absolutely delicious making this one of the best places to try out Greek cuisine. We gave this place a shot to see. Each were very fun and a pleasant surprise. The salad was fresh and big enough for 2. However, Sphinx has one of the largest selection of wines on the island with more than 400 lables, all kept in the underground cellar which used to be the old buildings water tank. - Grilled octopus with fava bean mash I wasnt blown away by the flavors of any particular dish, but the presentations were very creative and the view is pretty spectacular. The food below average. Had a birthday meal at La Maison, perfect sunset, perfect staff with perfect service. But they really tried their best. Ive eaten at Alma and Im not sure if these should be compared since Alma has 2 Michelin stars but Laudas Emmanuel Renaut has 3 Michelin stars.
